A professional ballerina on YouTube recommended these shoes, and they are as she said they would be.
Extremely happy with my friend Shelly’s recommendation of your shoes. I’m in love with them and so are my feet.
These are the most comfortable shoes! As a much older dancer/choreographer, recovery takes a little longer these days! I wish Ance was around when I was a much more active performer because the bounce back would have been more swift. I especially love the arch support which feels like a hug for my feet after a day of dancing. i've added them to my wardrobe to run my errands as well...multipurpose! I highly recommend that every dancer, athlete, and active sports enthusiast get a pair and make them an essential part of your recovery!
Great, comfortable, spacious. Lightweight, great for travel. Love wearing these after workouts and after teaching.
Just got these and LOVING my “San Fran” Ance sneakers! Wide forefoot lets my toes stretch / adjustable arch strap lets support change throughout the day. The acupressure dots are FIRM - lol - reminds me not to sit back on my heels too long ;) and gently keeps me on my toes. Can’t wait to try the ice packs when I get back into Salsa training and distance running!
I purchased these sneakers at a Dance Medicine conference because I was recovering from some foot injuries. I am happy to say that the shoes feel great! I haven't had them for very long, so I am not sure how they will wear over time, but right now they are comfortable. I throw them on after teaching and running to my next class or just errands. My feet feel supported. In fact, my plantar fasciitis hasn't been acting up. If you are on the fence, I think you should give them a try! I am hoping that one day they can create a split sole dance sneaker that would work for teachers. Thanks Ance.
PROS-great recovery for after HIIT or Plyo workouts...any workout actually. if you have had tennis toe or any toe pain, they do seem to help. Easy on and off. Strangely easy on the eyes, in my opinion.
CONS-If you use the backs in the down position, they are great slides, however, if you use them as as sneaker to run to the store, the backs seem flimsy when up around my heal. Price may be an issue if durability in not long-term, but that is yet to be determined after only two weeks
Overall, I would buy again and recommend them as a recovery shoe.
I saw an ad for these shoes and thought, "yeah right, ice packs in a shoe?" But after my fourth marathon training cycle, I was desperate. The Ice Pack Pocket is pure genius. Being able to continue running errands or just sit at my desk while getting targeted cold therapy to reduce inflammation? Revolutionary. The 360° wrap lets me adjust the squeeze when my feet are swollen post-long run, providing that targeted compression that really helps reduce swelling and accelerate healing.
Spin shoes are so rigid; my feet feel dead after back-to-back classes. I rely on the acupressure dots for that quick trigger point massage to relieve foot fatigue.
The arch support on these shoes is incredible. Seriously, it feels exactly like having my foot wrapped in KT tape, but without the hassle! Post-bike or post-run, my arches feel locked in and supported, which speeds up accelerated recovery time significantly. They’re super light and soft too. I rely on the acupressure dots for that instant feeling of enhanced circulation.
The most valuable time in my day is the 15-minute break between intense rehearsals. The Ice Pack Pocket is perfect for quick, efficient relief. Being able to insert an ice pack and feel that cooling relief while running lines is a major win for soothing sore muscles. The 360° wrap helps accommodate the swelling from jumping and landing all morning.
My physical therapist suggested I get better arch support because I'm prone to plantar fasciitis. I spend all day at a standing desk, and my old slippers made me feel like I was gripping with my feet to hold onto them. These are great! The built-in support means my feet are relaxed, and the wide toe box helps improve circulation while I work. The difference in how my feet feel at the end of the day is monumental. Huge game-changer for my daily comfort.
Truly life-changing as a mom, dancer, and teacher. I'm constantly on the floor, picking up kids, and running rehearsals. My shoes are well-loved! The customizable features are what sold me. The 360° wrap provides enhanced stability that helps my alignment, and the wide toe box allows my feet to spread naturally after being in restrictive shoes.
I was advised to try something new for my plantar fasciitis. The Acupressure Dots are key for me—they stimulate pressure points in my heel, which helps with reduced tension. The difference in my morning heel pain is night and day.
I need maximum recovery after taking off my track spikes. The 360° wrap I get from the strap is phenomenal—it really feels like it’s squeezing the inflammation out, which accelerates healing. I use the Ice Pack Pocket for the first 20 minutes home to get that powerful, targeted cold therapy. True recovery tech.
My legs are heavy after squats, and the slip-on design is perfect. I rely on the acupressure dots to help relieve foot tension instantly.
I need stable shoes for lifting, so my recovery shoe needs to let my feet breathe. The wide toe box is perfect for my big feet; it helps improve circulation immediately. The support is definitely there, especially with the acupressure dots giving my heels some relief.
I have that Ostrigonum issue, so I get Achilles pain constantly. I needed serious cushion and support. These shoes have been perfect for two months now. The acupressure dots are crazy good, providing that constant enhanced circulation to my heel. It's great how the support structure works outside the lace zone. My Achilles tendon pain has definitely calmed down since I started wearing these daily.
As a ballet dancer, I live in pointe shoes. The moment I take them off, my feet are screaming. I loved the idea of the wide forefoot. The wide toe box allows my toes to spread naturally after being crushed for hours. The acupressure dots are FIRM, but they help relieve tension and gently encourage a better posture.
I throw them on right after teaching and for running errands. That 360° targeted compression really seems to help with reduced swelling in my feet.
Just started body building, and I love that the wide toe box lets my toes feel really open after a heavy session. I rely on the acupressure dots for a quick trigger point massage. Perfect to start reducing muscle tension immediately.
I was battling PF for over a year. My friend convinced me to try Ance. The combination of the immediate cushion and the wide toe box that allows my toes to spread and grab the ground properly has made the biggest difference by relieving pressure. I also use the Ice Pack Pocket to specifically soothe sore muscles in my heel area. The pain is almost gone!
I'm recovering from a minor foot surgery and needed a shoe with highly customized support. The ability to pull the 360° wrap as tight or as loose as needed has been a lifesaver during different stages of swelling, providing enhanced stability. They are super soft and gentle on my recovering foot.
My friend kept raving about how supportive they were. Being a mom who weightlifts means my feet were constantly fatigued. These are fantastic. They offer that much-needed arch support after heavy deadlifts, and the slip-on function is key. I also appreciate the wide toe box for improved circulation after being on my feet all day.
My friend who works with me at the hospital told me about these. On a 12-hour shift, my feet are destroyed. These are my 'relief shoes.' As soon as I clock out, I slide them on. The acupressure dots really boost the blood flow in my ankles and feet. That 360° wrap provides the targeted compression I need to combat all-day standing fatigue. It truly is recovery on the go because I’m literally recovering while driving home and making dinner.
